Elephants are scattered throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia and are found in a variety of habitats, including savannas, forests, deserts, and marshes. 2) The oldest known elephant in the world lived for 86 years (1917 - 2003). The average age of an elephant ranges from 50 to 70 years. The largest known elephant was shot in Angola in 1956 and weighed around 24 000 pounds! Its shoulder height was 3.96 meters!

3) Elephants have two parts - a walk and a fast movement which is similar to walking. They cannot jump, trope or gallop, although they can swim and use their trunk as a snorkel.

4) Very large ears of the elephant are used to remove excess heat from the body. 

5) There are three different species of elephants left in the world: Asian elephants and wilderness and savanna elephant species in Africa.

Food:- 

Sixteen to eighteen hours or about 80% of an elephant's day is spent in feeding. Elephant meadows, small plants, shrubs, fruits, twigs, tree bark, and roots. Tree bark is a favorite source of elephants. It contains calcium and roughage, which aids digestion.
